Ros Ana Maris is a woman owned herbal skincare company in the Hudson Valley that was founded with a reverence that goes beyond cosmetic concerns and offers wholesome, balancing support for the skin utilizing traditional and innovative herbal methods. Founder Anaka Decker is an herbalist, filmmaker, and mother. She develops, tests, and launches every product with the utmost care.
Anaka utilizes the method of broad spectrum herbal extraction in her products for the synergistic, therapeutic, and holistic effects. Many herbs contain a complex mixture of compounds that work together synergistically to produce therapeutic effects. These compounds can interact with each other to enhance or modulate their individual actions, resulting in a more potent and balanced outcome.
All Ros Ana Maris products are made without sensitizing preservatives and harsh chemicals. Ros Ana Maris offers products without compromising the environment. All products are packaged in recyclable and reusable glass bottles, recyclable aluminum, and post-consumer recycled plastic bottles that are also recyclable.Ros Ana Maris glass bottles are genuine "violet glass", which protects products from premature oxidation, rancidity, and allows only beneficial light to shine through.
The name Ros Ana Maris is inspired by Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), an herb native to the Mediterranean region that has been used since ancient times. A folk name for Rosemary is Dew of the Sea. Ros Ana Maris enacts the Latin word ros meaning “dew” and maris meaning “sea” and is paired with Anaka's familial name, Ana, meaning “grace”.

Our bottles are 100% recyclable and reusable violet glass. Glass is endlessly recyclable. It is non-toxic and stable, so even when it's not recycled no harmful chemicals are leached into the soil. We also use aluminum tins. Aluminum is also an endlessly recyclable material and one of the most eco-conscious packaging choices for cosmetics. ​ Even our shipping material is sustainable. We use 100% recyclable shipping material that is made from post-consumer waste. Our shipping boxes are made from 100% recycled material. The shipping tape we use is recyclable and made with biodegradable plant-derived adhesive backing. Our tissue paper is made from 100% post-consumer and post-industrial material and is recyclable and biodegradable. The stuffing we use is made from sustainably sourced paper and is 100% recyclable, compostable, and biodegradable.
